YOU HAVE 8760 HOURS YEARLY TO MAKE MONEY - A LOOK AT HOW I THINK DIFFERENT 365 days per year X 24 hours per day = 8760 hours in one full calendar year. 8760 is the number of hours that you should be making income in for a whole year. The average person here in the United States and Canada works 40 hours per week which is equivalent to 2080 hours in a year minus vacation time etc. Lets just use the 2080 hours for argument sakes. If you are one of the majority of people that work the 2080 hours per year you are losing out on potential income on 8760 hours - 2080 hours = 6680 hours. Thats right, there is a whole other 6680 hours left in the year for you to make income which you have lost out on. The thing that I find the funniest is when professionals brag to me about how much money they make per hour. I’ve had surgeons tell me about how they make $1000 per hour. So pretty much if they work 2080 hours in the year they make 2080 hours x $1000 = approximately just over 2 million dollars for the year. Now first of all this is a very well paid and experienced surgeon that probably had to do an extra 15-18 years of post secondary education to get to this point. The problem is that the work he has done doesn’t pay him anymore for the 6680 remaining hours in the year. The way that I as an entrepreneur think is how can I make that $2 million the surgeon made without having to work for it and be putting in that 40 hours per week that the surgeon has to. The only way this would ever be possible is by me making money around the clock for the full 8760 hours in a year. I do this by not trading my time for dollars. So 2 million dollars divided by 8760 hours an entrepreneur has to work with equals only $228/hour. BREAKDOWN: I AS AN ENTREPRENEUR need to make $228/hour (8760 hours) in a year to make the $2 million A SURGEON needs to make $1000/hour (2080 hours) in a year to make the $2 million If you are willing to take risks in business and put the time in at the beginning and create a business that can generate income with other peoples work, trust me you can easily make $228/hour around the clock. You can be sleeping and people in other time zones will be earning you income, you can be on a beach sipping on a mojito and you will still be getting that $228/hour. Kids, before you put your time and effort into deciding on what to be when you quote on quote “grow up” think about if you are doing it for love or for money. If you are doing school for money, i suggest you give your head a shake. If you are truly doing it because you love doing it, then by all means the best of luck to you.
